Mills Hall, constructed in 1871, was the first building constructed on the Mills College campus. The 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake caused enough damaged to warrant closure of the building.Carey & Co. prepared a Historic Structures Report for the building to assess its condition and provide a master plan for future rehabilitation. The scope of work included historical research, determining the significance of the building, identifying and assessing the condition of materials and finishes, and making recommendations for repair and rehabilitation.
