The Taoist Temple of Kwan Tai is the last intact Chinese Joss House on the Pacific North Coast and the oldest in California. The Temple is not a mere relic, but has remained a functioning temple. Carey & Co. Inc. was commissioned to complete a historic building assessment for stabilization and to prepare a preservation plan. Stabilization work was a true community collaboration to restore a beloved local landmark.
